Our Story

The idea to create TurnIntoArt.com came to life on Christmas Day, 2007. I (John) asked a local artist to turn a picture of my daughter and German Shepherd into art meant to be a Christmas gift to my wife (Carla). When she set her eyes on the beautiful pencil portraits of our baby and pet, I knew it was the most memorable gift I'd ever given her. At that moment, I knew that I wanted to offer this experience to everyone. About a year later, Turn Into Art came into existence and is now available as an opportunity to both artists and customers.

Turn Into Art Staff recruits professional artists and art students from our nation's premier art schools and universities. Because of our diverse level of artistic education and skills, the art works offered by the artists on this website will vary in style, quality, and price. You, as a potential customer, have the opportunity to become acquainted with the artists by studying their artistic profiles on this website.

Our Customers

Our customers upload pictures that the artist will reproduce using various art styles: the family portrait becomes an oil painting, a favorite honeymoon picture becomes a watercolor collage or your first house turns into a pencil sketch. Some customers seek artists to create specific images: favorite Hubble telescope picture turns into a pastel or a landmark becomes a sculpture.
